#FAIRYTALE KINGDOM NAMES GENERATOR#
And yah I use fantasy name generator a lot too My point is you can go with cool names, but don’t ignore the history of your world as one possible source. Some are based on military significance, such as “The Blood Perch” which is a city overlooking a defensive chokehold, others are because from a distance the mountains look like objects like “The Scales”. There was a famous battle where one city is named after it called Edmyg’s Stand, another one where a king gifted the land to some refugees and promised them autonomy, called Ronyn’s Promise, or “The Promise” by the locals. For some cities I throw in a “new” or “old” in there to show there’s some history behind these places so I have Old Menathinion and New Hearth. For example, Lanfryd is the name of one of the famous kings, so the capitol is called Lanfrydhall. So I wrote up a timeline of the history of my kingdom, with names of kings and famous events and people etc., then some cities I named after some famous historic people.
